Weather in Barbados

The weather in Barbados is generally warm to hot all year round. The temperature is normally around 70-80 F during the days but with breeze coming across he island keeps the weather from being too humid. Even in the rainy season the temperature  is still hot. Barbados weather as a whole tends to be drier than some of the other Caribbean islands and this could be due to the location of Barbados in relation to the other islands.

As Barbados sits between  the Atlantic ocean and the Caribbean ocean the weather tends to be a more stable than the other islands. Although Barbados seems to be on the hurricane belt,  hurricanes seem to always bypass Barbados and it just seems to be left with some rain showers and maybe a tropical rain storm. The last major hurricane they had was back in he 1950s and by all accounts that was nothing much to write home about.

The rainy season. This weather season runs from July to November. When Barbados talks about rain it really means a few brief showers that can come down quite heavy at first but quickly dry up again when the sun shines again and the weather is back to its normal Barbados hot climate.

Barbados is generally a low lying island with a few rolling hills which means the weather tends to be relatively constant right across the island. However the east coast or Barbados tends to have more breeze than the west coast. Therefore the climate tends to be a little less humid on the East coast than the West coast.

Evening times in Barbados tends to be cooler than in the day times but even then it is still very warm with the hot weather during the day with at least 9-10 hours a day keeping the land quite warm right through the night. It has been known that the odd jumper for some people may even be needed for the odd winter evening when the temperature dips slightly below 70 F.

So if you are thinking of setting up a business in Barbados selling winter coats. Then maybe a re-think could be in order.
